Our Wild Honey
Honey is one of the most sought-after ingredients in the world. It is used in various cultures and in different types of cuisines. Our raw unprocessed honey is collected from bees that we keep at the Thottam Farm in Angamaly, Kerala. The bees from which it is derived from has the scientific classification “Apis cerana indica” and is found in the southern region of India. Pure shahad is widely used as a sweetener or a flavoring agent in savory dishes. It typically has a fresh aroma and depending on its nectar source honey can be floral, fruity, spicy, nutty or earthy. Honey contains several antioxidants, including phenolic compounds like flavonoids which has various medicinal properties.
KERALA ORIGIN: Our pure wild honey is collected from bees that we keep at our farm in Angamaly, Kerala. We have expert beekeepers who tend to the honeybees throughout the year and carefully collect honey from the beeswax without damaging the hive or hurting the honeybees. Our honey is packed in our hygienic processing facility and retains its natural freshness, aroma and nutrients.
100% NATURAL & PESTICIDE FREE: We follow sustainable growing practices for fruits and spices at our farm, without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Our raw shahad is collected from our farm, which guarantees that it does not contain any chemicals, pesticides or insecticides.
WHOLESOME & PURE: Unlike commercial brands, we give you unprocessed raw honey which is packed with nutrients and antioxidants. We don’t heat or ultrafilter our honey, which ensures that all the essential nutrients in the shahad is retained.
